The Government of Andhra Pradesh vide G.O.Rt.No.86, dt.19.3.2019 of Animal Husbandry, Dairy Development and Fisheries Department have issued ban orders on Marine Fishing ie., prohibiting fishing activities in sea (in territorial limits of Andhra Pradesh) from 15th April to 14th June, 2019 (both days inclusive) by all Mechanized and Motorized fishing vessels fitted with inboard engines or out board engines excluding the non motorized traditional fishing crafts in the territorial waters of entire coast of Andhra Pradesh as per the powers vested with Government under Sub Section 2 of section 4 of A.P. marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1994. The main objective of the orders is to observe the conservancy measures during breeding season of prawn and fish. All the fishermen are requested to observe strictly “Ban on Marine Fishing” as was done in the previous years, in order to have good catches during post ban period and to sustain fishery wealth in future. Those fishermen / boat owners who violates these orders will be penalized under law by way of seizure of their boats and catches besides levying heavy penalties under the provisions of AP Marine Fishing Regulation Act, 1994.

ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ రాష్ట్ర ప్రాదేశిక సముద్ర జలాలలో మెకనజ్డు మరియు మోటారు బోట్ల ద్వారా అన్ని రకాల చేపలు, రొయ్యల వేటలను 15.4.2019 నుండి 14.6.2019 తేదీ వరకు అనగా 61 రోజుల పాటు వేటలను నిషేధిస్తూ రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వం నిషేధ ఉత్తర్వులను (G.O.Rt.No.86, పశుసంవర్ధక శాఖ, డైరీ డెవలపమెంటు మరియు మత్స్యశాఖ తేదీ: 19.03.2019) జారీ చేయడమైనది. సాంప్రదాయక బోట్లకు (ఇంజన్ ఉపయోగించనివి) మాత్రము ఈ నిషేధం వర్తించదు. సముద్ర జలాలలో చేపలవేట నిషేధం యొక్క ముఖ్య ఉద్దేశం ప్రధానంగా చేపలు, రొయ్యలు సంతానోత్పత్తి కాలంలో తల్లిచేపలు,రొయ్యలను సంరక్షిచడం వాటి సంతతి పెరుగుదలను ప్రోత్సహించడం తద్వారా సముద్ర మత్స్యసంపద సుస్థిరతను సాధించడం. ఈ నిషేధ ఉత్తర్వులను అనుసరించి మెకనైజ్డు మరియు మోటారు బోట్ల యజమానులు, మత్స్యకారులు సముద్ర జలాలలో ఎటువంటి చేపలవేట చేయకుండా సముద్రజలాలలోని మత్స్య అభివృద్ధికి సహకరించగలరు. నిషేధ ఉత్తర్వులను ధిక్కరించి చేపలవేట చేయు మెకనైజ్డు మరియు మోటారు బోట్ల యజమానులు ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ సముద్ర మత్స్యక్రమ బద్దీకరణ చట్టం 1994 అనుసరించి శిక్షార్హులు. అట్టి వారి బోట్లను, బోట్లలో ఉండే మత్యసంపదను స్వాధీనపరుచుకొనుటయే కాక జరిమానా విధిస్తూ, డీజిల్ ఆయిల్ రాయితీ సౌకర్యాన్ని నిలుపుదల చేయబడునని తెలిచేయడమనది. ఈ నిషిద్ధ కాలమును ఖచ్చితముగా అమలు చేయుటకై మత్స్యశాఖ, కోస్టుగార్డు, కోస్టల్ సెక్యూరిటీ పోలీసుల గస్తీ ఏర్పాటు చేయడమైనది. మత్స్యకారులు సహకరించగలరని మనవి.
