Description: 
8/12/2016: The deep depression over southeast Bay of Bengal moved further northward during the past 6 hours, intensify into cyclonic storm, VARDAH and lay centred at 0530 hrs IST of today, the 8 th December, 2016 over southeast Bay of Bengal near Latitude 11.2ºN and Longitude 90.5ºE, about 1060 km southeast of Visakhapatnam, 1150 km east-southeast of Machilipatnam. The system is very likely to move nearly northward for some more time and then northwestwards towards Andhra Pradesh coast during next 4 days.

8/12/2016: ఆగ్నేయ బంగాళాఖాతంలో ఉన్న వాయుగుండం ఈ రోజు ఉదయానికి ‘‘వార్థా’’ తుఫానుగా మారిందని వాతావరణ కేంద్రం తెలియచేసింది. ఇది ప్రస్తుతం విశాఖపట్నంకు ఆగ్నేయంగా 1060 కి.మీ, మచిలీపట్నంకు 1150 కి.మీ దూరంలో ఉంది. ఇది ఆంధ్రప్రదేశ్ తీరానికి 4 రోజులలో అనగా 11వ తేదీన తీరందాటే అవకాశం ఉందని కావున మత్స్యకారులు చేపలు వేటకు వెళ్ళరాదని తెలియచేసింది.
