Description:
The cyclonic storm 'KYANT' over westcentral Bay of Bengal moved westsouthwestwards in past 12 hours with speed 15 kmph and weakened into deep depression. It lay centred at 0530 hours IST of 27th October, 2016 over westcentral Bay of Bengal, near Latitude 15.7°N and Longitude 85.5°E, 600 km east¬northeast of Nellore, 320 km southeast of Vishakhapatnam and 460 km east¬southeast of Machilipatnam. It is most likely to move west-southwestwards and weaken further into a depression during next 24 hours.

బంగాళాఖాతంలో వున్న క్యాంట్ తుఫాను ఈ ఉదయానికి విశాకఫట్నంకు ఆగ్నేయ దిశగా 320 కి.మీ దూరం మరియు మచిలీపట్నంకు తూర్పుగా 460 కి.మీ దూరంలో వుంది. ఇది క్రమంగా మరొక 24 గంటలలో బలహీనపడే అవకాశం ఉంది. అయినప్పటికీ దీని ప్రభావం వలన గంటకు 40 నుంచి 50 కి.మీ గాలులుతో పాటు శుక్రవారం నుంచి కొన్ని ప్రాంతాలలో భారీ వర్షములు కురిసే అవకాశం ఉందని వాతావరణ శాఖ తెలియచేసింది.
