தென்மேற்கு பருவமழை வலு குறைந்து காணப்படுவதால், தமிழகத்தில் இன்று முதல் 4 நாட்களுக்கு வெப்பத்தின் தாக்கம் அதிகரிக்கும் என சென்னை வானிலை ஆய்வு மையம் தெரிவித்துள்ளது. தமிழகம் மற்றும் கேரளாவில் தென்மேற்கு பருவமழை வலு குறைந்து காணப்படுகிறது. இதனால் கடந்த 3 நாட்களாக வெப்பத்தின் தாக்கம் அதிகரித்துள்ளது. ஜூலை 24ம் தேதி வரை 100 மி.மீ., மழை பெய்திருக்க வேண்டிய நிலையில், 70 மி.மி., மழையே பெய்துள்ளது. இந்த ஆண்டு 28% குறைந்து பெய்துள்ள மழை, 2016ல் 3 சதவீதமும், 2015ல் 7 சதவீதமும், 2014ல் 11 சதவீதமும் குறைவாக பெய்துள்ளது. தமிழகத்தில் இன்று முதல் 28ம் தேதி வரை அதிகமாக வெப்பத்தின் தாக்கம் இருக்கும். கடலோர மாவட்டங்களை காட்டிலும் உள்மாவட்டங்களில் இயல்வை விட 3 முதல் 4 டிகிரி அதிக வெப்பம் நிலவும். ஜூலை 29 முதல் தமிழகம் மற்றும் புதுச்சேரியில் மழை பெய்வதற்கான வாய்ப்புள்ளது.
